"May you remember or be reminded that we are all here to walk each other home" - Initial thought that jumped to mind was "as in, life and death." That journal question will make for a good post.

I love this! I want to spend more time considering my word... but I am excited to have this prompt sitting in my heart and mind over the next few days. Thank you.

Hello, my friend. I, too, find the ocean, well, most bodies of water, cleansing. And from what I know of you, I think uplift is spot on.

As for me, I’m pretty sure my verb is connect—to the people and creatures and plants I meet human and otherwise; to stories, some seemingly disparate; and hopefully to the version of me I’m working toward becoming.

I speak Spanish, at least fairly well. Trying to think if I would use a different verb. I do enjoy writing in Spanish from time to time, as it gives me access to a way of thinking, sort of next door to the way I think and create in English.

Mmmmm love and am very unsurprised that we're both drawn to the cleansing energy of water while on this nomadic path. It's one of those constants (usually) that brings me back to self no matter where I'm at.

Connect is definitely a word that describes my experience of you while on Substack. I've really enjoyed the connections that you've introduced me to. Connecting to self is also a beautiful concept in the midst of connecting others/connecting to others. I think travel really prompts that. I also love that you sat with the prompt about other languages. I know that being able to speak another language gives you access to another side of your personality so it is really interesting to me to see if we would show up slightly different in that language. I'm also thinking about Spanish if I am fluent enough to uplift or maybe something else. I also feel like the people I'm connected to and speak Spanish with are very giving and poetic with their language and I wonder how much of that will feed and influence how we choose our words.

I too have noted the poeticism and generosity of Spanish and Spanish speakers in my realm. also think, when I have occasion to write in Spanish, that part of what is opening me to a different space, along with a different language, is that I have to think more to find the words I mean, and I have to be good with a little more simplicity.

This was so absolutely beautiful to read. I think your verb, uplift, is a fitting description of my experience engaging with your work. I'm uncertain what my verb would be at this moment, but I will sit with your questions.

I love the word uplift. It was a part of my explanation whenever I was asked why I taught yoga: I teach to uplift others so that they feel important, seen and loved on and off the mat. I think my word now is harmony. It keeps coming up in my free thoughts!
