thank you for writing this 💌 (as I catch up on all the lovely writing I’ve been bookmarking!!)
You’re challenging me to ponder on my own sabbatical, which often oscillates between spurts of ‘hustle traveling’ in between weeks of recovery. Maybe it should all be recovery :)
Ohh yess!!! The new definition of “perfect” immediately reminded me of the many years I’ve tried to redefine “success,” after the influence of hustle culture America shoving its own ideas down my throat. For me, redefining such powerful words = a better quality life.
I also resonated sooo much with the last paragraph, especially the quote: “It is quite hard to explain in the language available that the inevitable is manifested.” Words go through too many filters to describe such abstraction/simplicity.
Thank you for adding to the good vibes on this app! <3
@tea thank you so much for offering ‘success’ to the list of words to redefine. A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE! 🥹we deserve it, i love that we’re choosing fullness a day at a time. a quiet radical act of being as we want.
also, thanks for the kindness. I’m so glad that I can positively contribute to your time on substack. It’s definitely mutual!
Thank you for the reminder that we need not become something. Releasing the weight of that is freeing.
