Hmm another warm cup of Amara tea served, thank you! Being still, tapping into our feminine energy, the healing space is so lovely to be in whenever we can. Plenty of time to move in our masculine energy in a productive space! That also tends to come easier than the former. And so it’s nice when we’re gently nudged (sometimes forced) to surrender. The Moon does a good job at that.

Personally I’m at 100% every full moon and eclipse season! But biased because I was born under a lunar eclipse Libra/Aries 🤪 nonetheless every new moon makes me lie down to rest and reflect.

Thanks for all the good reading material! I love reading new work/writers. Thanks for sharing mine as well!

Always cherish being in conversation with you here in the comments, Carrington!! Being born under a lunar eclipse is big energy! I adore that. I am a Scorpio moon so I feel EVERYTHING, every subtle shift lool. I am currently learning about a Librans ability to make light of the intensity so I am letting that also be a teaching in these moments of less. But yes the new moon is very calming for me too, that inner reflection always hits right. I also felt a gut 'yes' when you mentioned the feminine/masculine energy. Thanks so so much for being here. Your piece really spoke to me so it was a must for me to offer it to others.

Something I've been thinking about often is when I eventually begin traveling more again (maybe nomadically, maybe not), what are the routines that really ground me that I can incorporate while constantly traveling. Have you been able to find and stick routines easily while traveling? I have things like pole dancing and going to the gym that really make me feel good, but not everywhere I travel may have pole classes available for example. Would love to know!

Love love loveee this comment. Excited for your upcoming travels, whenever that shall be and in whatever shape they shall take. I hope you go where you feel called and I hope the grounding comes to you in perfect timing. To your question, I think it is a balance of listening to what I need in and from the place I'm in and also what works always for me. I.e., when I lived in a mountain town my needs shifted from when I lived in Lisbon, just because the environment and energy is different. As you mentioned, pole and exercise feels like a good routine and I am the same with yoga so I always travel with my mat. I also carry resistance bands for whenever I want to do some home (or beach or park!) workouts. Beyond this, breathwork, starting the day early, EATING WELL (natural, organic foods that are nutrient-rich and fresh is big for me and my gut health), connecting with loved ones regularly, and being in nature daily is what grounds me. The ocean is big too, so I usually try my best to stay at sea level. These are the basics but mostly, my aim is to be intentionally 'at home' and these things signal to my body that we are well, safe, looked after. So curious to hear what others do to stay grounded!!

Love this so much! It makes sense that a change in scenery can make rituals a bit different with the same beneficial result 🩷🩷🩷

Good on you for listening to your body and bringing your activity level down to a halt. I hope your foot is feeling better and I wish you a thorough recovery. Thanks for including me in the round up. I can’t wait to dive into everyone’s work you linked. Your brief synopsis of each pulled me in. Be well.

My saved list is growing nice and healthy, thank you Amara! And thank you for another grounding newsletter.

Soursop tea sounds like it would do wonders for you both physically and mentally. This reminded me that I have some soursop tea that I bought from Ghana that I need to find.

Lately, I’ve been drinking lots of hibiscus tea in the morning and I think it’s both mental and physically. Wellness before energy. Grounding before productivity.

I hope these slower days continue to fill you up from the inside!

love to hear this my dear. Thanks for being here. Honestly, my saved list is unending ahaha but I found space for these letters and I'm grateful. May you enjoy them! Also, soursop leaf tea is full of incredible properties- just like hibiscus actually. Soursop leaf is one of those teas that is a great healer in mind-blowing ways. I'm learning about it in the Caribbean that it has been used for years but I also bought some from a Rasta in London and the leaves came from Ghana <3
