“ We’re outrageously in need of foundations that insist on love” I think this quote genuinely encapsulates why I love the library so much. It’s one of our only spaces that still exists that beckons for people to just come and linger. To allow their curiosity to take over, to rest, to read. Without having to buy something in order to stay. It’s built off of community and love

I love the way you’ve broken down the role and sanctum of libraries. I hadn’t thought of them in that way. I love that opportunity to be as curious as time allows, thanks for offering this.

"Tending to your heart is a social issue. Being present and open is a way to be in tune with your biology which wants to communicate love. The energetic communication of our day-to-day literally sheds light on who and how we are. It encourages deeper altruism or deeper scarcity." Wow wow wow. I can't stress how important this message, and this entire essay is, for the collective. So much wisdom to chew on here, and to apply.

Appreciate your eyes and thoughts, Ayanna. I think there is lots to say about what we place our value on, your writing has helped me (so much) to consider and realign so I'm honoured to have you here, taking time to sit with my thoughts. Sending love you way.

Amara, every single word of this was so beautiful and profound. I have been grappling with the truth you have highlighted several times, "love is deepened by discomfort." How willing are we (as a society) to really move with the mindset of radical love? In my own experience, discomfort repels so many because we are sold this idea of love being easy and simple. To love though, for me at least, means to live the revolution. To look glaringly in the face of everything that makes us devalue ourselves and persist, knowing that we ourselves are the embodiments of love. This is why I so value your presence and so many other friendships in my life that really vibrate on the frequency of mutual love and understanding. It's so rare that when you find it, it's a true blessing. Thank you for lending your voice to us, we need it.

Thanks so much for showing up here. I value your light so much and what you're offering through UNSPOKEN. I really appreciate your question about our willingness to embrace radical love as a mindset shift. Definitely a question to sit with. "To look glaringly in the face of everything that makes us devalue ourselves and persist, knowing that we ourselves are the embodiments of love." I love this a lot.
