Life Is In Love With Me

Welcome to the ‘Life Is In Love With Me’ newsletter, a landing place for slow journeying and life’s love stories.

Amara wearing a colourful headscarf caught mid-spin in front of a red wall in Lisbon. She is wearing a white maxi skirt and a black top and holding a red and purple bouquet with eucalyptus stems too. She is wearing all of her favourite gold earrings and crystal necklaces.

I am Amara, a poet-essayist, author, mindfulness advocate, and slow living woman. I’m so glad that you’ve arrived here.

I like to think of this newsletter as a refuge for the secretly, openly and drastically soft-hearted. The mantra that has become this space came to me while solo travelling and affirming love while I felt far from it. It has become a deep reminder of possibility, of vulnerable commitment, of ease as an absolute birthright, and of the power of the word, mine and yours. It has also reminded me of the service of love, of its willingness to remind us to accept that it is there, waiting to be offered and received wherever we find ourselves. These essays examine what I have witnessed and held in heart and mind so far. I write so that we can all fall back in love with life and be emboldened to declare it each day.

Why become a paid subscriber?

The ‘Life Is In Love With Me’ newsletter also accepts paid & donation subscriptions as a loving exchange. I keep these letters accessible to all and paywall-free as it may reach someone. I’m thankful for readers who see my intentional offering and feel inspired to financially support it. It truly is as a love offering. I believe in loving exchange, I believe in being radically rested and never burnt out and I believe writers’ offerings are always enough. I based the exchange on this framework of generosity repaying generosity.

As a thank you, paid subscribers receive a gift of 111 daily affirmations, a personal letter from me, and my gratitude for supporting this in(ter)dependent space and labour of love. If you are unable to support with a paid subscription or donation, I still deeply appreciate you being here and engaging in this newsletter.

My work

All of my work is rooted in holding space. I created The Easeful Place as an offering of intimacy, unlearning and discovering soulful creativity through mindfulness. We write, reflect, gather, and honour our creative power together. This community and resource is an extension of my personal devotion to uplifting, seeing, and creating deeper ease. It is also a space for journallers to feel at home: here are some self-reflection writing prompts to get you started on that journey. Stay connected to find out when our next virtual or in-person event will be.

I also hold space for aligned 1-1 support for travellers and those getting started as a travel, creative or wellness writer.

For deeper connection and my full manifesto, you can head to my website - aka, my digital home.

I hope you find love wherever you land.

Amara Amaryah.
